Spice mobile introduced its latest M-6464 and M-6262 Music series phone powered with Yamaha Amplifier and Dual speakers, expandable memory, MP3 player, FM Radio, Stereo Bluetooth and other multimedia features.

Spice M-6464 features with FM Transmitter, a very short range device performing the same function as FM radio channel. User can set the frequency (other than FM stations frequency in respective region) and other FM enabled devices can able to here what FM transmitter broadcasts. Phone is also comes with 2 MP camera,80MB Internal Memory, Motion Sensor for changing sons and wallpapers and for playing games. It has English + Hindi text input in SMS. Spice M-6464 is pre-loaded with ibibo, Reuters, Opera Mini, Mobile Tracker, mgurujee applications.

Spice M-6262 comes with 1.3 MP camera with video recording feature and pre-loaded with ibibo, Opera Mini, SMS Scheduler, Privacy Lock and call blacklist services. Mobile Tracker and Reuters are not available in this phone.Spice M-6464 and M-6262 music phones are expected to launch in next month. Sony Unveils Cyber-shot DSC-H55 Digital Camera

Sony has announced the launch of its latest CyberShot digital camera dubbed the DSC-H55.The Sony DSC-H55 feature a 14.1 megapixel CCD sensor with 10x optical zoom, 3-inch Clear Photo LCD screen, 720p video recording at 30 fps and a Sony G lens with 25mm wide-angle equivalent.

The Sony DSC-H55 also feature Sweep Panorama mode, Optical SteadyShot image stabilization, Optical SteadyShot image stabilization with Active Mode and Smile Shutter technology and Self portrait timer and a memory card slot compatible with Sony’s Memory StickTM as well as SD/SDHC memory cards.

The Sony DSC-H55 will be available in black and silver starting this April and is priced at around Rs11,000.

LG launches LG SV770 Waffle Phone

LG has announced the LG SV770 handset, also known as LG Waffle in South Korea. The LG-SV770 is a basic 2G slider phone that comes equipped with a 2.4-inch TFT display with 320×240 pixel resolution.The LG SV770 also features a 2 megapixel camera, 2GB of NAND Flash memory, 1GB SDRAM and a microSD card slot, integrated FM radio, Bluetooth connectivity and Subway Map.

It will be available in three color options white, black and gold. It is powered by 800 mAh battery that gives up to 2.5 hours of talk time and up to 150 hours of standby time. It has dimension of 104×51.9×13.5 mm and weighs 95 grams.The LG SV770 Waffle is available via SK Telecom. The pricing details are yet to be unveiled.

LG KF350 “Ice Cream” phone launched in India

LG has unveiled its latest clamshell phone LG KF350 also known as “Ice Cream” in the Indian market. The LG KF350 comes with a 2.2 inches QVGA TFT display with 240 x 320 pixels resolutions and 3.2 megapixel camera. It also comes with an external LED Matrix display.

Other features of the LG KF350 include GPRS, EDGE, Stereo Bluetooth with A2DP and USB connectivity, FF CMOS camera, FM radio, MP3 player, WAP 2.0/xHTML, HTML browser, email receiving, video telephony and electronic dictionary.

The LG KF350 weighs 102 grams with the dimensions of 100.9 x 50.9 x 14.8 mm. It comes with 30MB of internal memory that can be expanded to 2GB using a microSD card and is powered by 800 mAH battery with a talk time of 5 hour and a standby time of up to 350 hours.The LG KF350 is available in White-rosy, Blue and Pistachio colors and is priced at Rs. 7,949.

Pre-Marital Sex: Rural Youth More Active

New Delhi: Rural youth have more pre-marital sex than their urban counterparts. The less educated are more likely to cast their vote and India's youth is ill-prepared for employment in a globalized economy. It is information like this that the government hopes will help it understand the 'vulnerability' facing the nation's youth.

In a first of its kind study, researchers and policy makers have tracked key phases in a person's life, especially concerning health, marriage, civic participation, pre-marital sexual activity and work force participation. The consolidated data of the study -- conducted in six states -- will be launched by Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad.
Youth in India: Situation and Needs is the first `sub-nationally representative' study undertaken by the government to track key transitions experienced by young people in six states in India. The study was conducted in 2006-07, with the sample size ranging from 10,002 in Rajasthan to 7,996 in Tamil Nadu.
The objectives of this project are to provide evidence at the state level on the magnitude and patterns of sexual and reproductive practices in and outside of marriage. The exercise is aimed at giving more knowledge about decision-making practices and attitudes amongst the youth.
Lastly, helping the policy makers understand key factors underlying the sexual and reproductive health, knowledge, attitudes and life choices of young people thereby enabling them to make policies with lesser margin for error.
The study has been undertaken by the International Institute for Population Sciences, Mumbai and the Population Council, New Delhi. The project aims to in- crease the government's investment in youth centric issues and was conducted in Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand and Maharashtra.
